Simon Morrison is a Director of Shine Lawyers NZ Limited, and the Managing Director of Shine Justice Ltd.
Simon started with Shine Lawyers Australia in 1988 as an articled clerk, when the firm was a small country practice operating in Toowoomba, Australia. Right from the beginning, Simon believed in the firm’s capability to provide justice to everyday Australians who had been wronged.
Having spent over 35 years at Shine Lawyers Australia helping an ever-increasing number of clients nationwide, Simon feels fortunate to have been involved in many areas of the business and to have undertaken a variety of roles as the firm continued to grow. Through this time, Simon can honestly say that his passion for helping clients to seek justice has never wavered.
Simon is a former national president of the Australian Lawyers Alliance and chaired its National Workers’ Compensation Special Interest Group. He sits on the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice.
Simon has expertise in and is an acknowledged leader in workers’ compensation law and is a Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist in personal injury law. He has given evidence at numerous government inquiries, assisted in drafting legislation and has spoken at international, national and state conferences.
As Managing Director of Shine Justice Limited, Simon focusses on expanding Shine’s international mass torts business.. He looks forward to seeing Shine right wrongs globally.
Simon has a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology.
